Every week blues are writing in here and online how he’s average, anonymous, had a poor game, attitude problem etc etc yet first links to Arsenal and they think he’s worth £70m hahahah

If we got more than £50m we’ve done very well. Still a big work in progress for me, yet to put together a consistent run of form. Great player, yes, but £50m is a a lot of money.

I mentioned this in the transfer thread, but I do think there is an argument for selling him this window.

Like others have mentioned, though, the problem is how do we get enough money from it to actually allow us to bring in 2-3 other players to strengthen the squad? That would require a very substantial fee, given what we would owe Lille, and I'm skeptical that we could find anyone to pay what it would take right now.

After his absolutely abysmal penalty effort I'd happily see him gone for any kind of profit. He's not a Dyche type of player and not the kind of player I'd like to have at the club long terms so if we can get rid for a profit and bring in players more likely to show some fight then he won't be missed.

Wasn’t there a moment early in the wolves game (if I’m remembering right, I’ve tried to wipe that one) where he picked it up in their half, tried to lob the keeper and didn’t get it off the ground. Pretty sure wolves then went down the other end and nearly scored. A bad decision and even worse execution, just like the penalty.

In general I like him as a player but you get the feeling he’s one who maybe puts doing things for social media clips ahead of the needs of the team.

He's one with great potential...but we can't really afford to see it given our current plight. May become a 'worldie' elsewhere at a club with much less baggage than us. If so, he can thank us for putting him on the radar but if we can double our money on him I would take it now because he has been a bit hit and (more) miss so far.

Don't get all the negativity an Onana. Young player who, if he was sold, would leave a big gap in the team. However, if we got £60 million, and had two midfielders lined up, that would make sense. Knowing Everton, we will sell for £25 million on 31st Jan and not buy a replacement.

My fears will be his sale will be for stadium build and day to day running of the club. Thanks Bill and Mosh for leaving us in this mess.
Im the opposite. I hope it's for the stadium build and day to day running of the club. They are 2 things we need the finances for. Players come and go but without the money to keep the club running the club will be gone forever.
