The lad from Brighton is also realllly good at football & impacts games, Onana is a mixture of potential and the occasional good tackle currently.
Respectfully disagree. Caicedo has looked pretty ordinary every time I’ve seen him.
Why is there always a clamour to sell anyone we have with potential because he hasn’t turned into Zidane within 3 months of arriving?

I wouldn't say that in respective of first season in premiership. I always think its funny when some are going no problem sell (and fail to acknowledge that we are a woeful attraction ) and therefore unable to replace half decent players with any bit of quality. for me it's the reason we are deservedly regulation material

so ill ask you. what player will we be able to attract to replace onana. say if we sell him for 50 million. who could we realistically attract who would sign? spend 50. give me a name who will come.
Spot on.

You’re easily pleased have a look at a lad at Man City names Kevin de bruyne should enjoy his play he’s very good. If that’s a midfield masterclass we’re seriously screwed. Had a good game steady on the master class shouts it’s an illusion as we’ve been so poor that it looks like a masterclass but it’s what players should be doing every week.
That’ll be the Kevin de Bruyne who got legged out of Chelsea for being “just potential” will it?

I get what you’re saying but at the moment, because we’re skint and need he money invested elsewhere.

I honestly can’t wrap my head around the money spent on Caicedo and Lavia - it’s insane! If Everton can get a slice of that then why not? I’m all in on the purchasing youth to develop and sell for a profit strategy…. Might work!

No idea, not an agent/scout/dof. No idea what player wants to or doesn't want to come to us.
But why do we have to spend £50m on a replacement? Just cause you sell for £50m+. You don't have to splash that on one player.
Isn't the model we finally moving towards, buy young/cheaper, aim for a profit.
Will we even spend £50m on a player in the next few years?

Mate if we don't put it back on a player where does it really go? Do we want to be calling for the onana money in 10 years still?

We won't spend £50m on a player. We may spend a total of that on 2-3 players.
I think people need to get out of this idea we are gonna splash money down, and then silly wages. It's not happening.
It's clear with the purchases and loans what we are doing.
Somehow get through the next few years with loans/freebies like Young Harrison and Danjuma, and then invest in youth and potential and prey it comes off

totally agree but I think the players we can attract are in the 10 mill bracket. so if we have a 50 mill potential player like onana I'm hanging onto him as long as possible . he is 70 mill next year. and a starter for us for a year.
other option is sell for 50. buy a prospective for 30 again if we can attract which is doubtful ( not a bad call gain 20).
or reality. can't attract. have 50 for bill kenwright who spends 15 mill on more [Poor language removed] to add to the [Poor language removed] we already have.
