I thought he played pretty well this week. I would like to see him and Garner together, although that would be an inexperienced pair so more chance of me playing. Gana isn't doing great for me and Garner isn't a right mid.

I can see Onana developing into a lad who can get games by the scruff of the neck but he's still a relatively new senior pro. He'll get there.

I think Gana has had 2 good games this week tbh, whilst Garner has been poor (admittedly playing out of position)

We look a shambles when gana isn’t in there. Which is a testament to how bad we are when he hasn’t been playing great.

He's too sloppy in possession for me and keeps leaving big gaps while he chases the ball. I just think garner has better quality with the ball but he looks a fish out of water on the right side at the moment. Either way, we've struggled massively keeping clean sheets so a different approach may benefit us in the short term.

Onana this season compared to the last has been night and day.

Last season, he felt like one of those young prospects who make questionable decisions in favour of better game statistics but now even when his involvement has been up and down during the games he looks much more purposive. Wouldn't want Everton to lose this version of him.

Quotes elsewhere saying United made an approach this window after Chelsea made one in January.

Also that he wants to stay (said the same in Jan) as he moved every season before joining us.

Refreshing, hopefully Lukaku won’t try to ‘teach him’ how to do foreign language interviews about your club & future ‘properly’
