American Food

So many questions and how does it fit in that packaging??
1. Like other matters of lifestyle, it's complicated. Do you prefer your breakfast sausage medium or hot? All questions lead from this fork in the road. If hot, you probably want the red package at the store. Medium is blue. I buy the blue package and add dried chili flakes to the gravy as compensation. COYB, right?
2. Neatly. It's only a costume.

I've always wondered, what is root beer ?

Sort of a sugar cane soda with sasparilla root. Tastes a bit like Dr Pepper.
active ingredient is safrole (see below)....this phenyl methylenedioxy based molecule is a precursor in the synthesis of the empathogenic/entactogenic substance MDMA (ie methylenedioxymethamphetamine)...aka ecstasy/molly. Back in the day of my post-graduate organic chemistry/biochemistry studies I had fun with this stuff...a LOT of fun. 1667114848150.png

Rooty ravin, love it.

Anyone ever tried ‘Ale 8’ I think they only sell it in Kentucky. It was mentioned in a book I read and I think it sounds like it would be nice but it doesn’t seem to have caught on outside of Kentucky.

Ale-8, is a regional ginger- and citrus-flavored soft drink, distributed primarily to brick and mortar retailers in Kentucky. Ale-8 could be described as a ginger Soda with a "kick". It is a ginger and citrus blend, containing less carbonation and fewer calories than conventional soda.”

Some great food in the US of A. I still can't get over how good the evening buffet was at the Bellagio in Vegas when I went. Most I've ever spent on a meal in my life, but well and truly worth it - about $85 bucks for buffet and unlimited alcohol, and they had some cracking beers on draft as well such as Blue Moon.

Also enjoyed very much the food in Austin, Texas (BBQ of course), and on the West Coast up in Seattle where I enjoyed some great burgers and craft beers.

Great street food available in NYC, and also really liked the deep dish pizzas in Chicago.
