loved your pros and cons. I think, like most sports, you're gonna find the advertisers closely align with the spending interests of their market so you're not really gonna escape the whole gambling/alcohol thing with many teams. I mean Barca have the Qatar foundation which is a humanitarian enterprise put together by the profits of a country that routinely restricts travel for workers to create a modern slavery.

anyway, no team is completely in the clear, but everton are an excellent choice. our players are generally fairly likable, I haven't really heard this howard getting a big head thing and I'm a US resident. our coach is excellent and charming and our chairman runs a theater company and is a lifelong evertonian. granted he's poor as owners go and seems to drive too hard a bargain so there's a lot of complaining about him

oh also our captain supported gay players in the game last season and our left back is a morrissey fan

Never heard that said about Howard, even from rivals, he's perfectly down to earth and entirely professional.

I'm not a fan of trying to convince people to support Everton. I'd suggest watching a few games with different teams, when your club is playing you'll know. Obviously start with Spurs as you haven't found any cons yet which must be a good sign.
