Was anybody expecting him to be as unbelievably boss as he is?

Well not blowing my own trumpet here but myself @Eggs and 1 or two others said he would be boss
From day one eggs said he’s a rolls Royce of a footballer
Looking back at some of the posts while he was injured there are a few lads who should be walking around in sackcloth and ashes begging Andre for forgiveness

Would love to get him permanently but if he keeps playing the way he is bigger clubs will be in for him

What's the deal with his loan? I didn't think it was a loan to buy, but couldn't be sure. What are the chances we can sign him permanently?

No option to buy as such
However he’s a busted flush at Barca
He knows it
Barca know it
Barca’s fans know it
Even Messi came out and said the club should sell him
I pray he ends up here
However performances like yesterday will alert bigger clubs than us
He is the player United thought they were getting when they signed Pogba
In his position there is only KDB who is better than him in this league at the moment
So wherever he ends up it won’t be Barca
I hope if he settles here, enjoys his football , feels the love of the fans ( something he never got at Barca ) and sees us building something special then hopefully he signs for us
He has one failed move in his career and at his age can’t really afford another one

There is no loyalty in footballl anymore. But you’d like to think the boy is so happy at the club, we’ve rescued him from his Barcelona experience and the fans love him. I should imagine what the lad has gone through personally, that just being happy again and enjoying his football, will be a big motivating factor where he’s sees his future.

We can but hope

I was skeptical when we signed him given his Barca nightmare, but, oh boy do I look like a sucker.

Absolutely pivotal to the way we play now. Need to throw the kitchen sink in to either sign him or get an agreement going for his signature.

The longer we leave it, the more Barca will want. And what they’ll want is a bidding war between us and the many suitors he’ll have if his form continues on this upwards trajectory.

Key point will be Gomes decision
If he tells Barca get a deal done with Everton because I’m not signing for anyone else then Barca have to play ball with us
I know they are notoriously difficult to do buisness with , but we have history with them
First with Bobby and Geri and now with Brands with Digne and Mina
Brands seems to know what he’s doing and if a deal can be done then he will get it done
I’d take Gomes signing in Jan above all others
I’ve said we need a CF but this signing could be the most significant we’ve made in the last 10 years
Gomes plus a CF and a RW and we will scare the crap out of the Sky 6 bar City

Yeah he can go in their stockpile of midfielders. Why would he look anywhere else in England? Hes playing footy here, hes clearly happy and enjoying being at the club and we are building something. Theres real progress under silva, and theres a lot to be said for being loved somewhere and he is loved here. He spoke of the hard times he had at Barca so who knows. We've as good a shout as anyone to sign him permanently. Ousmane dembele is failing at Barcelona too. I'd still have him in a heartbeat.

Man of the match. Easily our best player in possession.

But just as people are - rightly - saying Pickford cost us, his miss was poor. Then again, it's simply luck sometimes.
