I see Spurs have appealed the red card.

I hope that ban gets extended by a further match and he now gets 4.
Genuinely think appealing it is in pretty bad taste. It was a deliberate foul and a player got very badly injured. Whether you think it’s a red by the letter of the law or not, just accept that in the grand scheme of things a ban is justified.

Pathetically childish commen

You are an imbecile.

Players trip people who get past them multiple times in every game, at every level since Jesus was alive.

Years ago you wouldnt get booked, now you do.

The sending off was completely and utterly ridiculous,
So teaching people to own their mistakes is imbecilic? I will work on my childish "commen"s. People have also killed each other since Jesus was alive, does that make it right? The tackle was stupid. Period. I don't care what kind of guy Son is, he deserved what he got.

I have no desire to see Son portrayed as a victim, nor as some evil mastermind.

He's neither of those things as you say

But what he is is a silly silly man who let a little brush on the face wind him up resulting in a challenge what broke Gomes ankle, he obviously didn't intend to do that but it happened, and it's solely down to him losing his cool

If you don’t think there was malicious intent in that lunge MG, you’ve lost the plot

Son immediately regretted it. He knew he'd made a needless challenge.

Least he could have done would have been an apology. Instead spurs and the media have spent all day portraying themselves as victims. Proper embarassing behaviour.

Explain to me how there is no intent in this tackle? The ball is gone, his studs are up, his damn heel is on top of his foot.

If Son doesn’t make the challenge, Gomes doesn’t sustain the injury. You need to ask yourself why Son made the challenge in the first place. Moments before he was rolling around on the floor because he had been brushed in the face by Gomes. As soon as play restarts he’s sprint after him and slides into him from behind as retribution. Purely cynical, meant to hurt him. Didn’t mean to break his ankle, of course, but there is no question in my mind that it was ‘pay back’. If anything, his ban should be extended.

So we have VAR which involves multiple people generally getting things wrong - just like all referees have.

But apparantly plenty of Evertonians now want an independent medical assessment of any injury after any foul??
How about
1) Causing bruising - red card, 1 match ban
2) Mental anguish - red card, 3 match ban
3) Grazing - yellow card
4) Sore arm - yellow car
5) Can no longer play but walks off - red card 3 game ban
5) Can no longer play - Stretchered off - 6 game ban
6) Causing blood to be spilt - Call the police.

Seen this floating on Twitter, where's it come from exactly? Surely not.
if the ligamnets haven't been too badly affected then this could be the case ..

its the ligaments in these types of injuries that cause most of the problems in recovery.. see harry kane , sufferers bigtime with ankle ligaments and often out for several weeks 3 times a season with them ..

from what I can gather gomes has been lucky with the ligaments not being torn and ruptured. its a massive plus for him.

so basically its about repairing the fracture and letting it heal , and hopefully in that the time the small damge he has done to the ligaments will repair themselves rather than having to work on then with operations after the fracture is sorted. if all goes well he could be back before end of season, other players have done it

Intent yes, malicious? Not for me, he came from the back and side. If he wanted to hurt him he could have gone from the back or the side, he picked the less harmful way.

MG, look at the image above this - its a shocker.

Son immediately regretted it. He knew he'd made a needless challenge.

Least he could have done would have been an apology. Instead spurs and the media have spent all day portraying themselves as victims. Proper embarassing behaviour.

Bingo.
