Gomes injury reminded me of filipe Luis broken ankle/leg with deportivo...the lad was training 7 weeks after the injury...if you Google you'll see the video of the injury and the ankle snapping similarly to gomes...so hopefully it is 3 or 4 months only.

It's the ligaments, if they have to all be fixed. Bone heals fast, but stability will take ages, never mind to be used in an athletic measure. Frig, I snapped one ligament falling down stairs, it was still was still unstable 6 months on- tbf I wasnt a fit athlete and had the NHS making me do 13 hr shifts straight after coming off crutches. But I also didnt have a break nor dislocated the joint
