What happens if you push a player and he falls over. Its a standard yellow card BUT

Are most of you seriously arguing that the ref should wait a minute or 2. If the player gets up uninjured it stays a yellow - play on.

If he stays on the deck and says hes done his leg and cant carry on its RED?

No. Pushing a player isnt a red. Tackling from behind like Son did is.

Ps. Most ankle injuries I have seen have been from players overcommiting to a tackle/foul or landing after going up for a header.

Even the 2 footed lunges on a standing leg very rarely result in serious injury.

A trip like Son's on Gomes is insanely rare to cause such an injury.

A similar tackle without the horrific injury, Red card it was appealed but it was not overturned. The panel deciding then to keep the red for a wreckless lunge in from behind, now there has been a horrible injury and the panel buckled and overturned it in my opinion because of the media.

Could you send that to Everton and ask them to grow a set and ask them to ask the FA what the difference was (apart from the obvious ankle break)

It wasnt a tackle from behind.
It didnt endanger an opponent, it unbalanced him.

The tackle itself didnt cause any direct harm to Gomes.

End of story.
Are you mental, the petulant from behind tackle was the direct cause of his injury, without that clip of the heel he doesn't lose balance and Aurier doesn't stand on him. Like i say, even without the injury a lunge tackle from behind is not allowed, red all day.

Well found mate.

Shouldnt the club be banging on doors , the similarities are bang on.

Shithouse of a club....just imagine if Oumar done that., lengthy ban incoming and not a peep.

So because you say it's quite rare that such "trips" (as you like to put it as if it's a gentle trip) cause an injury, it doesn't really matter.

And to think you called someone an imbecile on here last night you tedious little bore.

No way that is a red. Jeez this is a very different game I grew up with.

Peter Reid would have been sent off 3 times per game. He would never have played a game.

And lets be honest nothing gets the Goodison crowd going more than a solid tackle or foul on an opposition player.

One of the reasons its always been an intimidating place when the crowd are up. Mens game, smell the fear. No snowflakes please.
