Player Valuation: £50m
Pretty poor reflection if he isn't willing to go somewhere on loan at least, whilst we'd still be picking up most of his wages. Disappointing.

According to some clickbait merchant in his shed.Literally today.
there is no place for him with the new players he should realize that and move on and not sit on his money. When there are not many injuries he might not even make the benchWe gave him a contract, we have to honour it.
He is prepared to stay and fight for his place.

This is it, he's always seemed a good lad and I suspect he wants to stay and fight for his place.Questions for those slagging Gomes off; why are you taking this as gospel, and has Gomes ever shown the slightest hint that he's that sort of character ? You sure you're not just desperate to pile in on him cos your lass likes the look of him ?
but he wants to play football right ?He doesn't have to move on if its a country him and his family don't want to move to.
He can sit tight and wait for something that appeals to him and the family.
Or he might be happy and settled in the region and doesn't want up sticks.
The mind may wish to but the body cannotbut he wants to play football right ?
indicative of most modern footballers.Pretty poor reflection if he isn't willing to go somewhere on loan at least, whilst we'd still be picking up most of his wages. Disappointing.
Imagine someone younger and better at your job comes to your workplace, but he's paid less than you.indicative of most modern footballers.
overpaid and not really in love with the game
It might be that he and his family are settled here. We as fans forget sometimes about players families, it's been said before that Tosun stuck it out as his kids were very settled in a school here and had good friends and he didn't want to uproot them again. Fans would do well at times to remember there is more to it than just the player involved.Pretty poor reflection if he isn't willing to go somewhere on loan at least, whilst we'd still be picking up most of his wages. It's the club's fault, if they hadn't given the likes of Gomes ridiculous contracts, then they wouldn't have such a problem moving them on. Can't blame the lad really, we were stupid enough to give him such a long lucrative contract, he won't get anywhere near as much somewhere else and he probably doesn't fancy living in Turkey or somewhere as a loanee.
