It might be that he and his family are settled here. We as fans forget sometimes about players families, it's been said before that Tosun stuck it out as his kids were very settled in a school here and had good friends and he didn't want to uproot them again. Fans would do well at times to remember there is more to it than just the player involved.
It's the club's fault, if they hadn't given the likes of Gomes ridiculous contracts, then they wouldn't have such a problem moving them on. Can't blame the lad really, we were stupid enough to give him such a long lucrative contract, he won't get anywhere near as much somewhere else and he probably doesn't fancy living in Turkey or somewhere as a loanee.
At the end of the day its just a job to him, he probably only knew a few things about Everton when his agent told him of the interest and had to google us.
He may also want to put his family first before football.
