Dyche might get something out of him if we are missing Garner, Onana or Doucs. Getting him in areas where his pros come to the fore, and his cons are protected. He did get a haphazard and always clumsy Doucs scoring regularly (whilst still being terrible at some of the basics). Myko had often been the most criticised and vulnerable player in the squad, was the best full back in the country for a couple of months straight recently. McNeil was a bit Slomes for months under FL; lethargic, ineffective, poor decisions. Dyche comes in and he was fantastic in spells last season, has grown into this season now too.
If Dyche genuinely thinks he has a part to play, and it’s not just a confidence boosting comment, then I am hopeful he won’t throw him in if he’s crap and we will see some more good performances. Also hopeful Kev’s new regime won’t be throwing 2 year £120p/w extensions around any more. I don’t think we are that club any more.
