He doesn't really play killer passes though he's hardly got an assist since he's been here he is good at moving the ball if he gets chance but he's not that creative.

This isn't probably a unique story but the fella behind me was giving Gomes the full hairdryer treatment during the game. "You're beeping beep, not fit to wear the shirt" etc. etc. And then started up a conversation with two girls beside saying he's too slow, shouldn't be in the team, offers nothing, Dyche is mad playing him. Right before Andre steps up and pings it in from the free kick. Silence ensues.

Dyche has shoe-horned him into the number 10 role because he won't be able to keep up as one of the center two.
The guy has immense technical ability, but just isn't mobile enough to play in the PL now.
Would be better to get someone younger, even on loan, to fill that spot.
Until then, he's filling in admirably.

One of the weird things to me is how he ever got the reputation as being an incredible free kick taker in the first place. Prior to joining Everton, his career high for set piece goals scored in a season was 2, which he accomplished in a grand total of 3 seasons. He typically scored a few penalties a year, but he wasn't ever all that proficient at scoring goals from set pieces. And the club paid all that money seemingly on the assumption he was actually something special at that. He apparently scored 1 at Everton, at some point in the Marco Silva full season (a season during which Lucas Digne scored 4). He could hit it fairly hard, but he generally didn't particularly threaten the goal with it.
As a point of reference, Ward-Prowse has multiple seasons of 3-5 and Wayne Rooney scored between 4-7 a few times.

So this chap needs a ticket provided per week and a few quid to get him chatting lively? Better use of cash than a recent list of managers...
….i posted last season that he’s a useful option off the bench in that forward position but he went on loan. He can’t get close to DCL but he can pick a pass and keep possession if we are chasing a goal.
He’ll leave in the summer but is decent to have around.
He’s still crap and has been for 95% of his time here. Good goal, though.

Plenty of players over the years with massive technical ability but totally unable to run have been superstars and played at the highest level. Game has changed, but the point remains.
All of them drifted around silently and received the ball in pockets of space so they had time to utilise their godly talents with the ball. Andre receives the ball usual under pressure and occasionally does something tasty to break the first challenge and win space. If he doesn’t beat the man he fouls them.
He hasn’t got that in-built knack for ending up on the ball in areas where running fast is irrelevant. Maybe he’d have developed it if he’d played 200 PL games at full fitness and learned to hide his weaknesses but maximise his strengths? Shame really.
