£8m rising to £11m isn't good enough in my opinion.

We paid £8.6m when he was at a Championship side, on the back of a knee injury.

But to get a 3m profit is better than nothing. Hes unsettled now and there will be always a few that will never forgive him, so he will be under the cosh if he was to stay. 1 missed chance and then 40,000 will want his blood.

Just do the deal and buy some1 else.

Is this known? No. Has he ever said it? No. In fact, he has said he loves the club and wants to stay. Didn't he just sign a new five year deal? Yes.

Its a myth he is unsettled.

I consider him to be unsettled NOW, im not sure how much he was before we accepted a fee for him, let him go to a medical, agree personal terms and then wait nearly a week to see if the move goes thru.

Thats the reason i say hes unsettled, i believe he would have stayed if we had rejected the bid/bids.

I was lead to believe his wife was the unsettled one, but as you rightly stated, is this a known fact? NO. If/When he does leave, would'nt we get some sort of compenasation anyway for his contract ending short??
