Someone needs to stick on a bit of queen ‘i want to break free’ in his next meeting with the chairman. tho we could of done with a bit of that last year with ‘Alcaraz! if the lad only signed a 1year extension to help the club/chairman out then cant see it happening again and for a player loved so much by your club would you really want to hold on to him against his wishes and possibly have him lose all respect he had for the club. possibly is just holding out for other teams to come sniffing and see the price rise that way

mate disagree it's time the club motto actually meant something again, we need to not settle for 'we tried' or 'it's the best we could do in the market' etc. or move onto the third fourth fifth or god knows how far down targets

we are not going to sign Isco or someone if we switch away from Yarmolenko and to think we will end up with anyone better than a utter gamble on a young unproven player (united lid), or someone who has washed out at a few clubs (pato etc) or just a bog average journeyman player is living dreamland - no offence mate but once we had committed this much time to it, it is all or nothing, and should it be nothing then the questions can be smashed into the board and manager about why we went a notoriously difficult route and invested most of the window in it
I dont know. I see what you're saying about not settling but that's a bit of an abstraction. It really cant come down to getting the primary target in or dont spend because everything else will be a major let down. No club can have a mindset like that or there'd be hardly any business done.

That type of purity of action will get us badly mauled in the coming months if we fail to get any creativity in.

Has anyone any idea what Kiev's finances are like? Can they really afford to reject £15m, and take £0 next year, over the chairman being a tart?

I'm not arsed, just a sad state of affairs that the majority of the posters in here clinging on to every word so twitter beaut is posting.

Any streams for Kievs game at the weekend?

They will be playing an away game and the TV rights to that game belong to a "rival/hostile" channel (it belongs to Shakhtar), so probably no youtube stream.

Bang on this...there are an awful lot of Blues who are now settlling for any arl bs the club throws at us. Even getting beat 2-0, a lot of fans are appeased that at least we gave it a go....totally bewildering

It's more about going into CL without Yarmolenko (having also lost LW Lens to Sunderland) than it is about the cash.
