Maybe Carlo is playing the older failed players to get something out of them with the view to getting some transfer fee (however small) for them in January. £6m for Bernard (same saved in wages), Siggy for maybe £5m, Iwobi for £15 (if we get lucky), then start playing Gordon from January onwards. Would be a shame to let this lad go, feel it would come back to haunt us.

I'm guessing you trusted him when he plays 7 centre mids including Gomes and Sigurdsson against a atrocious Newcastle side. love Carlo but he's handling the Gordon situation wrong, something must've gone on behind the scenes

At least Bernard showed a goal today to justify his starting selection, but yeah. Not getting picked based on seniority is quite simply the thing I hate most about many managers.

we know he can at least run at more pace than a pregnant slug , unlike some getting in the team or bench, hence the clamour to actully see a player not get walked passed time and time again.
