Because he hasn't shown anything to even suggest he'd be better than those. Idk what you want me to say, I just don't get the buzz and he certainly wouldn't change the reason we are currently 1-0 down

When he has played he's done nothing. Apart from a game vs Salford. Spends a few games out of the squad injured or something and a couple bad results = Gordon is the saviour

I dont even think hes that good - I just think he has pace, likes to run at defenders and will get stuck in which is more that can be paid for the likes of Iwobi & Siggurdsson who get picked because of their transfer fee.

I agree, such attributes that Cenk Tosun and Gylfi Sigurdsson clearly possess.

A player with his experience in the game - it was audacious, I'll give him that.

Yeah but the conversation, from all parties, seems to have been along the lines of "hey boss, what do I need to improve on in order to get games?" not "I AM BETTER THAN THESE CRAP!" (even if it has to be true)

Never mentioned anything about them two clowns but look at other players in and around Gordon’s age like Foden and Greenwood, when they come in they get into the game making chances and scoring (in the latter’s case). That’s what AG needs to show more of if and when he gets a game

They actually get played, that’s the difference. And Foden is a world class talent, very unfair to hold Gordon to that standard. He doesn’t have to be as good as Foden to be an improvement on our players.
