They actually get played, that’s the difference. And Foden is a world class talent, very unfair to hold Gordon to that standard. He doesn’t have to be as good as Foden to be an improvement on our players.
Yeah they get played because they take their chance, that’s not a knock on Ant because I like him and would like him to come through and shine for us like them but there has to be something that he’s not showing enough to feature

If you ask me, the manager is being a stubborn clown, because he’s still bringing Cenk Tosun onto the pitch who hasn’t contributed a single thing for the club in any game since he took over. If we’re looking for players to “show something” then we should be holding them all to that standard, not just the young players.

It’s unreal how that fraud is still at the club, the knee injury at Palace saved his career because he should have left in the summer. I know Turkish clubs are cheapskates but honestly I’d just let him go back there in January and get an actual forward in but that’s for another thread

I said it in the Nkounkou thread yesterday but Carlo needs to bite the bullet and just play them, it won’t do us harm surely?

Yeah but the conversation, from all parties, seems to have been along the lines of "hey boss, what do I need to improve on in order to get games?" not "I AM BETTER THAN THESE CRAP!" (even if it has to be true)

That happens on the training pitch every day.

I think there's a reason why Gordon admitted to being nervous with the approach.
I think there's a reason why, initially at least, Ancelotti said he declined to give an explanation.

Ultimately though - those who see him every day will have the best idea whether he's good enough.

As I've mentioned before, people always look for academy lads to be involved. Kieran Dowell.

Hmnn. Moisie Kean would have another opinion on that.

I've seen little enough of this guy but what I've seen hasn't impressed me very much. What people are also forgetting is that Ancellotti and his staff see these players every day. It would appear that they're not too impressed neither.

Clearly no re DCL. But don't forget that 12 months ago the majority of fans saw little in DCL either.

I don't understand you mate?

You've took issue with me saying those who see players every day training will know best - using the example of Moise Kean?

Ancelotti and co clearly preferred Calvert-Lewin, so Kean didn't get a look in.

You've then said clearly Calvert-Lewin is the better player?
