I’m really torn between whether what I see from Gordon (21) is genuine potential of something special or simply the rest of the team are so utterly rubbish they make him look better than he actually is.
I’ve long said his end product isn’t good enough and I stand by that, but seeing him against Gallagher (22) , Olise (20) and Eze (23) he really doesn’t stand out, and all three were better then him today at least.
His free kicks and corners are on the whole awful too.

He was as guilty as anyone today just looked like he didn't know what he was meant to be doing
He's 21. That's not young for a footballer. There are plenty playing in the Premier Leagues that are that age or younger who aren't still 'learning their trade/need to improve their decisioin making' but are already of a higher quality than Gordon is. He has no end product. He runs around a bit (shunted from side to side by a defence that he never gets behind). He's just not good enough (for the Premier League that is. Sadly, he fits right into the cirrent Everton team)

He's a million miles away from them lads in terms of maturity to his game, but he has came on ten fold from last season so we need to hope he continues to improve.

He started well as did the team, he lost his way 2nd half but that is the team as a whole, if you start the game playing that way it’s hard to apprehend why it wouldn’t continue but conceding them goals must

All three of them are playing in a functional team tbf, but more important to stress that players develop and mature at different ages. Man City's top scorer, for example, was an absolute nobody that couldn't get into Leicester's team at the age of 24.
Gordon might never be as good as any of them, but I think he's right where he's supposed to be in terms of his development. The problem is that Everton are crap and are having to rely on him.
