How can you “call something” 2 days ago
The thing is, the lad cant even be dropped, hes out there trying things, sadly things arent really working out, but they might.@MikelsGoat called it.
He's said something that's been true of Gordon his career so far, I would suggest that's "calling something" champ.

I dont think hes what people think he is, but hes worth sticking with, just in case, not like we have a wealth of options.
No need to hide your identity my friend
Somebody compared him to Zaha earlier on, said they were miles apart, at Gordons age Zaha was in the middle of stinking the gaff out for United. When you look at talent around his age in other teams, we certainly over value him, he's good for us but no end product.
Exactly.I just don't see it with him. I see less in him than I do in Tom Davies who routinely gets crucified, and the only reason I can think of is his haircut and clothes.
Would love to be proved wrong, and If/when it does happen, I will be made up. But honestly, in opposition to seemingly everyone else who think he's currently our best player, I actually think we are worse for having him in the side. He doesn't actually do anything, his positional sense and defensive game are overhyped nearly as much as his end product, and yet he seems to be deemed undroppable because he runs hard.
He's been an ever present in the team as we have tumbled down the table, and but for a cross against Chelsea, I don't think he's actually directly contributed to any result.
For me, he should be used exclusively as an impact player from the bench to add a bit of pace/energy at the end of games as teams, including ours tire.
Theres a reason Ancelotti didn't seem keen, even when we clearly struggled for impact. Bernard offered more, and that says a lot.
It's ironic that so many people wouldn't have James because while he could produce moments of magic to win us points, he apparently didn't try/look interested. Now we have essentially replaced him with the exact opposite. Obviously the caveat to that is the money saved. He obviously loves the club, which is admirable. But realistically, he has a similar output to Iwobi, with much more game time, which should be worrying, but is frustratingly ignored in favour of hyperbole and sickeningly over the top plaudits.
Like I say, I'd love to be proved wrong, but I'm still waiting.
HIs work ethic is greatExactly.
It shows how starved of success this fanbase is when this lad has massive support because he runs around a bit more than the others.
So far, virtually no end product. Over a season the much maligned Iwobi produces far more in terms of measureable contribution.
Abysmal at set pieces (management teams fault for putting him on them) It's also the managements fault he's relied on week in, week out.
Cannot fault his effort (If the rest of his half arsed teammates put in similar levels we'd be comfortably mid table), but people are going way way overboard about how good he is.
This 100%I just don't see it with him. I see less in him than I do in Tom Davies who routinely gets crucified, and the only reason I can think of is his haircut and clothes.
