We were told this week there would be more before the next 2 weeks were out.Since Moshiri said that, we've signed Vinagre, McNeil, Coady and Onana
Why would they offer this because he's good ffs.Gordon doesn’t get near Gray for pace but that’s not the be all and end all.
For £50 million, Gordon must be sold, it’s a no brainier. If you’re concerned about a lack of pace we could sign someone like Adama Traore for £10 million, which wouldn’t weaken the current team in anyway and then invest the other £40 million more wisely.
Stop making excuses. He's not the janitor at FF mate. He is the decision maker ultimately. As Brands always said about leaving Silva with the final say so.It’s almost as if there was a hire made in that time period that is what people are talking about. Stop trying to play ignorant as if we don’t have a DoF at the club.
It’s very clear that he’s the one in charge of transfers, I’m sure Lampard has an opinion but he obviously doesn’t have final say one way or the other. None of our signings so far have had anything to do with Lampard in an official sense.
Rooney was 18 years old and left for a record fee for a player his age. As a 17/18 year old striker he was better than a goal every 4 games in a very poor side. Don’t try to act like they’re even remotely the same thing.
If you want to compare them like that fine, at 21 Rooney was consistently scoring 20 goals a season and playing in the best team in the world, winning trophies.
Honestly give up meIt depends on the package and other players brought in before September. He's a promising young player and in an ideal world he stays but needs must
One out at the start of the window and then drop a bombshell at the end of it with the justification that "well, you want a striker in dont you?"Feels like we’re getting played again and that all these proclaimations about the next two weeks and judgement at the end of the window were based on this sale.
The fella who talked Moshiri into staying on knows this script well and it seems knows exactly how to play Evertonians who are sadly lapping it up.
Benitez sold Digne
Lampard has no hand in selling Gordon
Yeah, 'kin right.
The lengths some people will go to in order to justify any sale.
Lampard is right in the cross hairs if Gordon is sold...make absolutley no mistake about that.
There's a lot of people already wanting to pitchfork this manager - purely and simply for the reason that they think we should chop and change on the back of a couple of defeats. They are ridiculous and a minority.
The problem for Frank though is that there are a lot more people who are willing to see him get time in the job who will be alienated by any decision to sell Gordon given we all thought the sacrifice would be Richarlison AND he himself has always underlined Gordon's role in what he wants to do here. That's what he's played to since he's been here: keeping our hime grown and developing it and buying intelligently.
If he's bought McNeil and is letting go of Gordon that *contract* is broken and he'll be deserted by the majority of fans when we go into a poor period in the season.
He's loaded the guns to be fired at him here. He has to scrap this idea. No one wants Godon sacrificed for a few million plus a dud like Gilmour...and THAT is exactly what we'll get.
It would be gutting to lose a young talent but we could do very well out of itHonestly give up me
^ one of the best posts in this whole thread. What I’ll say to everyone bricking it is just this simple comparison of statistics last season.
Anthony Gordon - 40 games, 4 goals, 3 assists in all competitions.
Andros Townsend - 27 games, 7 goals, 4 assists in all competitions.
Demarai Gray - 39 games, 6 goals, 5 assists in all competitions.
Anyone saying he’s somehow irreplaceable or anything like that is utterly insane. Anyone losing their mind over this has me puzzled quite honestly, do you honestly realise how one sided this transfer would be in our favour?
I know he’s a young player and can improve but you can literally see last season that he was outperformed by a free transfer and a £1.5m player. In what world is that someone who’s worth losing out on potentially £50m for.
He’s only a few months younger than McNeil, even if you think he’s better than McNeil is he £35m better than him? Not a chance.
Three clubs owned by one manTheir new owner is a lunatic fool - Hence why they've just paid £60m for a bang average LB
If there were better options than Gordon the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle would be looking to get them, not Gordon.
