In what regard? Good players more often than not cost a substantial fee unless it’s the old loan market again. To dramatically improve our attacking options, 50m isn’t much these days for the required quality and numbers we need.

Gordon isn’t even worth 30m yet alone 50m. There are much better options out there to help us improve our attack.

I'd happily swap Gordon for Broja and a free loan of Gallagher. If we can persuade them to throw a few quid on top I'd be very, very happy with Kevin's negotiating skills.

Well I'm not a professional scout or anything but I find it hard to believe we couldn't find one or two attackers in world football who wouldn't be a significant upgrade on Tony Four-Goals. Especially so if we are able to use the £50m to stretch payments over a few years, giving us more room to play with for deals.

I agree, I think he’ll crash and burn at Chelsea.

It should be added though, Gordon is a Liverpool fan at heart. No matter what they leak out to keep face, he was a bad red. I think he even went in their end at a Goodison derby only 3 or 4 years ago and a lot of blues around the club no this.

Like im genuinely not bothered if we sell him, hes done very little to impress me since hes been with the 1st team, and i dont see what any of the fuss is about. Like i said the other day, i get Kevin Mcleod vibes from him, definitely not Rooney Vibes.

But regardless of this, i just find the sudden shouts of him being a red are a bit weird when it could be so easily proven and hasnt been. Not 1 picture or 1 quote. Especially seen as the same things were said about Barkley.

Either way, if a ridiculous bit comes in, it has to be considered, because we need help now, not in 2 years time, and the money can be better used reinvested elsewhere. Its not like our non existent goal threat gets worse if he is taken out of the picture, as he is 1 of the main reasons we dont have 1.
