I think his head has been turned. He needs to get his attitude right and put in the effort he showed last season. He seems to be missing that edge this season, almost as if it doesn't quite matter as much to him. I'm sure I'll be crucified by some people for saying that, but, he just doesn't seem to be putting as much effort into his game this season.

For what it's worth, I think he has every chance of becoming a very good player, but, I am disappointed n him at present.

You’re right, his energy and effort bought him a lot of praise last year; regardless of his lack of end product

He just seems he can’t be arsed, goes to ground when anyone is close to him and has no attacking threat at all

I can’t remember him beating a fullback this year, I may be wrong, but he seems to run, stop and play it back.

I just dont see any of the things that other people see that hint at him being a very good player. He doesnt get involved in games and very rarely looks a threat. He doesn't dribble or carry the ball, rarely goes past his man. His shooting is generally poor, while his passing usually consists of short passes back up the line to the full back, and even that is hit and miss. His touch is inconsistent at best, his positioning is questionable and i just dont think he has the brain of a top player.

On a physical level, i admit, he has some pace, but its rarely a factor because he doesnt read the game well enough. His stamina is awful and he is usually only good for brief bursts in games before he completely fades away, and he is far too lightweight and easily knocked off the ball.

Apart from that though, he's the best youngster we've had since Rooney.

Is he really that fast? I don't think he's anywhere near Godfrey or Grey like.

No one should be in the same sentence as Rooney.

Does my head in when he loses focus and dribbles the ball out of play under no real pressure. Seems to happen fairly often.
