£35m bargain for Newcastle imo.
Properly coached in decent side, he'll come good.
Let's see who's right. Eddie Howe + Dan Ashworth or the experts on here.
The experts that were right about Ross Barkley?

Not about that tho is it. If he doesn't want to be here and puts in the kind of performances he has, how does that benefit the club? We would be in a position to ride it out if we weren't where we are in the league but we can't afford to carry a forward through the remainder of the season when we can't score goals. We need fit and firing right now. Talking about him being worth 60mill in a year or two is irrelevant imo.£35m bargain for Newcastle imo.

The question is he good or not isn’t the issue. The issue is the lad doesn’t want to be here and wants to leave. Didn’t come on against West Ham. And when he came on against Southampton, that was one of the most disgusting display I’ve seen in a while, he wasn’t bothered, walking round, then gives a foul away which leads to the goal. He doesn’t want to know. Yeah he may become great and be worth 60-70 mil in a few seasons. Yeh big difference from last season to this is night a day. All the effort and desire has gone, ever since Chelsea wanted him his head has been turned.

I blame you personally, and your constant St Maximin to Everton rumours, for every single part of Newcastle's revival and newfound ability to take our brightest stars with minimal fuss.Has he perhaps been compromised by his own fans guys? Everton seems to ruin a lot of young scouse talent, wonder if there’s a link?
Can you imagine my notifications if they win this league cup, with Gordon scoring the winner?I blame you personally, and your constant St Maximin to Everton rumours, for every single part of Newcastle's revival and newfound ability to take our brightest stars with minimal fuss.
I do think we can go hard on our own homegrown players, especially at home when things aren’t going well. There is always more pressure on local lads especially when the club finds itself where it is. Last season thought he was a breathe of fresh air. Didn’t stop running or causing Havoc. We can disagree that’s your right to have your opinion but this season I feel it’s not there or he has lost that appetite. Now for me can be a number reasons, what’s more money, what’s to go to a higher level club, doesn’t want the pressure, he had enough of abuse from small group of fans who knows. As you said it’s pretty irrelevant we need money now and Gordon alone want keep us up. Yet if we can bring 2-3 players in with his sale that gives us a better chance of staying up.I disagree on the Southampton thing (although I wouldn't argue he or anyone else played well), also there seems to be some narrative about his attitude/effort which is based on no tangible evidence I've seen, unless everyone is now an expert in neuro linguistics. I find the whole anti-Gordon thing a bit mad if I'm honest. It doesn't take a football genius to say that he hasn't played well for much of this season (although given how poor the team has been, is this chicken and egg stuff?) and there's a perfectly legitimate argument which says we should sell, but people seem to be falling over themselves to say how bad he is. On the evidence of half a season in a dysfunctional team. Bit mad if you ask me, but it's immaterial tbh because your first point is the right one - being good or not shouldn't really factor into the decision about whether we sell or not, circumstances dictate that it's essential.
Fans hate him it seems.Has he perhaps been compromised by his own fans guys? Everton seems to ruin a lot of young scouse talent, wonder if there’s a link?
It’s good we talk openly about the impact of Everton fans on their own players and particularly young scouse players. Got the adulation of the fans last year as he bust a gut helping the defence as much as he aided attack. Then he got a flash of Chelsea’s knickers and strolled around the pitch with a titty lip when he didn’t get his move.Has he perhaps been compromised by his own fans guys?
