Some weird people in here who seem to be upset with this deal.

We have mugged Newcastle, hard.
It is not so much the deal itself...the issue is who comes to replace him...if that ryan fraser at the fraction of the value we got for Gordon is not good at all as he is massively in decline or even question if he was that good...I guess the board will pocket the difference or it will go to the stadium...anyhow its grim.

Amazing lol lol lol

"I've got an idea son", "what's that dad?". "Well son, let's go down to the medical centre where Gordon is having his medical, and from 120 yards away, we'll shout Go on Gordon son and see if he gives us a wave like Michael Jackson used to do for his fans". "Great idea dad and I'll do a banner which say Welkum Goredun as well dad with a little magpie building a nest in his jarg blonde wig".

Newcastle are a small club really, with lots of cash. Like if Notts County, or Huddersfield got a pay load.
They've made a very big offer, for a lad who wasn't getting in to our team. It's not really what successful clubs do, but Newcastle have never been a successful club really.

They have won stuff but ages ago, a bit like us really. They are a big club in that they bring in the crowds on a regular basis and now have funding to push them on, they will do well….

His energy and skill was integral to our survival last season.
We have no one left who can supply that now.
Our very , very slim survival hopes just became slimmer.
Actually we won’t survive anyway so who cares.
His energy last season and attitude was a huge part to why I liked him showed some skill at times. This season hes stunk the place out and walked around the pitch sulking and throwing in lazy tackles complete flip of what he was last season lads a joke instead of getting his head down and pushing for his move he's acted like a brat and got it hope his leg shatters in a million places first game and ends his career first time ive ever said that about any player could maybe take it from a foreign player but for a homegrown local lad to go about it the way he has is a disgrace.

He was in his second season playing for a basket case of a club.
This is what I mean young lads come into the side and their development is expected to be linear or they become the worst player in the world.
Like I said if Mills , Cannon and Dobbin wish to succeed they would be best going elsewhere because currently , they won’t get the support they need here, unless they are Rooney quality and few are.

It’s a meaningless metric, ‘big club.’

Crucially, though, Newcastle is a one-club city of 800,000.

Liverpool is a two-club city of 500,000 - with the footballing powerhouse of Manchester just down the road, too.

Like it or not, Newcastle’s potential is massive.

Missing the point got nothing to do with development. attitude work rate should be there from start to finish in your career obviously you will have spells back from injury or bad patches of form this wasn't a bad patch it was bad attitude. No if they work hard and keep showing potential and developing they will get the support if they play a season and start thinking they're ronaldo they will get binned
