Yeah he was good. Still littered with mistakes though, he gives the ball away a lot. But he worked very hard, took his goal well (after missing a 1 vs 1 30 seconds earlier).

He had a poor spell of form before his move but I put that largely down to the fact he had to do it all by himself. At the time, it was likely we were playing without a striker or with Maupay up front (same thing really). He probably had a full back supporting him who couldn't go past the half way as well.

The skunks were turning on him but only kept it going to stoke their new bitter rivalry with the bloos.

Good player, with potential to be very good. Really starting to show more consistency now.
Doesn't mean the decision to sell by us was wrong though. £45m was a lot of money for potential and the player wanted to leave. His performances had not been as good as he was capable of in the weeks before he left. In fact his form went downhill from the point he didn't get the move to Chelsea last summer.
