They need to watch football mate, he's been very, very good.

£45 mill is a snip for someone his age and impact hes having.

Newcastle will be made up i expect.
I may be a bit biased as I never really warmed to him and his departure also left me a bit annoyed, but i just don’t see it. I don think he scores enough goals to be considered that good as an attacker.
I’m not saying he bad by any stretch, but he's very much in the upper echelons of average prem winger category for me.
Brennan Johnson for example i’d have over him all day long. 1:4 goals/games compared to 1:9.X for AG. Same age, similar number of first team games and similar transfer fee.

Don’t know if you watched him much this season mate. He’s been very, very good and influential. They are raving about him up there and the bargain they got.

I’ve watched him a few times this season, he’s been excellent.

To be honest, he’s achieved a lot of milestones in the last nine months since he left. We’ve got the worst end of the stick of all involved in this deal for me.

Grudgingly though, it’s nice to see an academy lad developing and being successful, this club isn’t ready to develop a player like Gordon yet or wasn’t last season anyway!

It’s a huge shame.

One of them rare deals where everyone wins. Not a chance he’d have had this impact playing Dycheball. We get cash we desperately needed, he gets to progress in his career and Newcastle get a player who is fulfilling potential I confess I didn’t think he had.

Pats on the back all round.
