Perhaps this may be a lesson to some not to judge players on the evidence of a few half injured cameos. When he has been fit he has played well for us.

Coleman, Naismith, Alcaraz - how many times do we need to be proven wrong before we stop writing players off after a few games. Even in pre season some where calling Barkley overhyped and that we'd wasted our money on Lukaku, you can't make it up. Just waiting for Kone to keep the run going.

Fit players, in their right position, with a good run of games under their belt. If any of the above three are missing Then it's pointless judging players.

Anyone know why hes switched number from 32 to 30? Trivial i know but seems a bit odd. If he got given number 5 then ye makes sense but from one obscure to the next...

It was his number at Club Brugge so he's obviously trying to recapture the magic of his Belgian career.

Think I'm starting to get a bit more confidence in him. He looks MUCH fitter than when we saw him towards the end of last season. Still not totally convinced, but starting to come around to the idea of him as a decent backup CB.

Very good performance overall. Looks much better on the right where he has Coleman and McCarthy to help him for pace.

Occasionally he switches off which he needs to work on but beginning to look a bargain.
