Except he was picked ahead of Distin earlier in the season based on form in training,

Did I imagine the widespread rumours of Martinez and Distin having a fall-out? At the time Distin was dropped he was playing better than Jagielka - our captain was dire in the first three games of the season, and probably put in his worst-ever performance for us in the spanking vs Chelsea.

and then looked better than him in matches too. Sooo....

No he most certainly did not.

I don't know what games you've been watching pal, but Alcaraz has never, ever been better than mediocre for us. And he's only reached that dizzying height two or three times - he's normally monstrously gash.

How was it a fluke? Did you see the game? No fluke about it.

City had more shots on target, more posession, zabaleta was still sent of as well and robles had a blinder. Wigan score at go any other time in the game and they dont win. It was a fluke.

If he was a greyhound he'd have been "retired" by now. He's good on his day but it's like Spurs with King, why keep forcing him in to your side when he's never gonna be able to create a long term partnership and add stability to your team

Remember him against Burnley, Lukas Jargewitch turned him twice and got shots off and Howard actually made a save. He also tried his best to help Lukas break his duck by setting him up.

Praise the lord Lukas Jargewitch has never scored in the top flight. Swap Lukas for Sergio and he has the easiest hat trick of the season.
