The first goal peed me off actually as we've been waiting to concede like that for ages - a short corner where we are sleeping and we let the opposition have a 2 on 1 with a dangerous angle for a cross.

Symptomatic of our general sloppiness and slow thought processes.

Don't think I saw him win a single aerial challenge all day today. Distin on the other hand made several.

Four Four two have him winning three, same as Distin although he did try for another, over on the left, that he lost. Distin made quite a lot more clearances though 17vs 10.

Distin is the worst cb in the prem.

Playing for Everton is an honour and those who bestow the shirt should do everything to stop defeat. Distin has been falling on his arse ever since he lost Giroud in the 2 all Arsenal game.

Alcaraz, Robles and Distin all deserve punting yet the fans make out these guys have something to offer.

Yes.

And I saw McGeady give away possession on the edge of his own box for a goal, and Barkley made a balls-up leading directly to a goal too.

The point I was answering was the one where @sageyefc said he thought Alcaraz was the best header of a ball (of our defenders). He's not. Distin won several headers today, I don't think I saw Alcaraz head the ball once. the fact that Distin got beat on one of them doesn't mean Alcaraz is automatically better.

I agree that ideally he should be far away from the first team, but presently he looks to be the best partner for our best centre half.

You're quite right. Just double-checked and it was the Ramsey goal where Barry went AWOL. My apologies.

I much prefer Alcaraz to Heitinga, even with his injury record, and he is probably on a pittance in comparision as well.
