Im not sure I can, are you aware of the art of Batistuta? The way of the Baresi? And the teachings of the Zidane?
I have poured over their works for many years, via the internet, ESPN classic, Football Italia and Revista de La Liga. I want to take the next step.

At the end of the day, Kone cost 6m, hes utter tosh, so its wasted money, but overall, the business we did was superb.

He got Gaz Baz in, the barca lid, the beast who for me are all pluses, jurys out on McCarthy, but personally think he will prove to be a decent signing. and the 3 I mentioned above, all in, good first window.

Sadly I wish this was true, I honestly think I know TOO much, it spoils me really enjoying football, you know, like maybe somebody like you does, I bet you just watch games and dont really take in the tactical side of things at all, I wish I was so blind.

Personally I'm going with;
Kone/Alcaraz daft signings (good news is Kone only has a 3 year contract and Alcaraz 2 years)
Robles -- Jason Kearton (sp?) mark2
Loans -- All very impressive
McCarthy -- I think will become a top top player a bit like Carrick has slowly done his job over the years....hidden gem.

His litmus test I think will be in Dec when he needs to move some out....and the summer when he needs to replace the loanees.

Anyone who'se judging kone on the basis of a few matches when he hasnt been fully fit. are 'turbo, utter tosh, gash' fans.

Or they watched him stink out the League for Wigan last Season.

/waits wittty comeback regarding the goals he scored against teams from the lower reaches of hell, then waits for WHAT ABAR THE GOALS HE SCORED VERSUS US

Sits and laughs at these people.

Study the 1 they call Leighton Baines and contrast him against the 1 they call Jose Enrique, only then are you ready for the next step.

This in bold.....Martinez seems to be a clever chap who knows his footie....why sign Kone? Age,wages,fee, 3 year contract....

Doesn't make any sense to me at all....

You could make the point that he was a poor signing, fair enough, he's not played a game since Accrington, was injured most of last season. Wages have cost us for no time on the pitch.

However, he was free and actually quite a decent defender under Martinez's system.

Duffy isn't good enough, Hetinga is gone in either January or next summer. That would leave us with 4 CB's by next summer.

I'll judge him when he's actually played a game for us, but I think he'll be decent.

Does seem an odd signing at the moment as he's down the pecking order of a position where the incumbents are seldom rotated and both have good injury records, and with us out of the league cup there are going to be fewer games now that mean little enough to justify playing the B team.

That said, Martinez must have had some plan for him when he signed him so fully prepared to see how it pans out.

By season end;
Distin -- 36 (contract expired)
Jagielka -- 31 (3 years on contract)
Alcaraz -- 31 (1 year on contract)
Heitinga --30 (contract expired)
Duffy -22
Stones --19 (4 years on contract)

I imagine we will see all the above for 2 more seasons with the exception of Heitinga and maybe Duffy. By then though we would need 2 more centre backs....
