Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

Um, sorry to spoil the fume. Kia Joorabchian is Sports Invest UK and Anwar el Ghazi is not their client.

El Ghazi registers Gestifute as his representatives - Jorge Mendes - is the main man there.

Hopefully this helps stops this nonsense about Moshiri wanting him, Benitez stopping it three times and murky agents whispering in owner's ears.

It's nonsense, we have plenty of valid things to fume over, kicking the tyres on a potential loan deal is not one of them.

Final point, while I am ranting, Villa are far more likely to be looking to drive a market for a player they want rid of, right now, we're the easy connection to make because of the Digne deal happening at the same time.
We all know who his agent is, but you really think other agent don’t talk to each other and get involved in other deals.

So basically people are making stuff up on the internet and then people pick and choose what to believe based on their own agenda. Then present it as fact.

And it starts lol

Can’t get a game for villa, but wouid get in our team. Townsend isn’t good enough moving forward either.

Villa fans saying he’s pants. Poor passing, crossing, decision making. Also im
Sure they where playing 433. So as a wide striker, 7/8 goals and one assist. Over a season, Not bad goals and maybe More than Townsend or Gordon, who is only 20. But one assist for somebody who plays wide should be a red flag And Gordon has more assists already.

Also we’ve gray in behind the striker, he’s wasted there. Nobody is going to convince me
El Ghazi will enhance our squad

....who have wide players better than us? 71 appearances over the last 2 seasons suggests he can get a game for Villa. He can't this season with Coutinho, Bailey, Traore and even Buendia and Ramsey he's competing with.

I agree, Townsend is not good enough for a team with our ambitions. He is a good option from the bench. El Ghazi is a very minor upgrade, but an upgrade all the same. I said he is not my choice either, but if we are limited on funds, he would not be so terrible on loan or small fee.

This thread reminds me a bit of the response when linked with Demarai Gray.

@davek on page 5 blaming Brands is a personal favourite, given how he's attributed Gray to Benitez at every possible pro Benitez opportunity ;)
If we didn’t have gray and El Ghazi was available for 1.7mil as a squad filler. Then maybe not worst deal in the world.

But we have in gray and Townsend 2 squad fillers who have come in. We don’t need another one.

Also while gray has done brilliant, it’s early days. He need to have 2 years of this form and End product. Before he’s seen as a player to help us get up the league. Which How ever much we’re in a [Poor language removed] storm at the moment, is the ultimate goal

The bobble has said Benitez doesn’t want El Ghazi and rejected him 3 times previously. With all those journalists in the space last night listening including the likes of Alan Myers, not one of them have dismissed it. If it was a complete fabrication then I’m sure he would be put straight by any of the journos. But it’s ok, DaveK says it’s BS so it must be.

Can well believe Moshiri is pushing this because who else is there? We’ve binned Brands as well as the head of recruitment and scouting..

Benitez strikes me as someone that doesn’t watch any team apart from his own..

This is the exact scenario that some people wanted.

Gave my opinion on this earlier mate in that I'm not convinced on the argument we don't need another winger;

Richarlison prefers central role. DCL fitness seems worse than is let on.

Gordon is saying he struggles to finish a game/he could also be moved central in a 3 man midfield.

We then have Townsend and Gray, who 90% of Evertonians whined about when we signed them.

Townsend has a broken foot. If Gray gets injured we're doomed.

As I said earlier, when Gordon needed to come off against Hull we only had Townsend/not fully fit - joke he come on really considering he admitted he couldn't shoot with his preferred foot.

If we have any winger injured, it could mean Iwobi on the wing.

Also good to have the option of Gordon central.

I think we have to be pragmatic - the season is a write off and it's all about ensuring we have financial manoeuvrability in the future.

Exactly? So people want us to remedy that by bringing in wide players better than they have not by just adding more average players to an already average squad honestly this is all very simple stuff.
