Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

Loan makes sense for 5 months. Dropping £15m on him doesn’t. We need a centre mid far more than we need another winger right now. Has to be a player of real quality though or why bother. Golovin has been touted and would be class but we probably don’t have the funds so just don’t waste more money on dross.

Exactly? So people want us to remedy that by bringing in wide players better than they have not by just adding more average players to an already average squad honestly this is all very simple stuff.

This is why I said he is an upgrade on what we have, just not a big enough upgrade that people would like.

I think we have 3. Gray, Townsend and Gordon.

Richarlison prefers central role. Suspect we want him to play centrally - particularly this season with DCL injuries. Have a bad feeling he could be out more than he's in for the rest of the season.

If we can't sign a centre midfielder, then a winger could allow us to move Gordon centrally - we really struggle with any centre midfielder who can progress possession. I was saying on here the other day how if we move Gordon central, who replaces him on the wing...

Forget Iwobi, even if we're kind and say AFCON...

The season's a write off in terms of achieving anything of significance. Europe has gone.

I remember I said the same on here under Allardyce, and fans like you saying we had to buy Tosun/Walcott to battle to stay up. We didn't. We were staying up without them, and they weren't helping us achieve anything of significance that season.

I agree regarding avoiding spending. As I said in November here. Why give a manager on dodgy ground money to spend? It's why I said I was concerned when we signed Patterson/Mykolenko - as in who was deciding they were good players for the club - fortunately since it looks like Ancelotti/Brands wanted Mykolenko so there's some long term thinking at least.

Well, we couldn't afford him which reaffirms my whole point.

Rather than try and bridge the gap, go short term until we can - preferably under a manager who might not be a 3 results from the sack.
We could afford a youngster though. If it’s a loan or incredibly a buy. It’s wasted money.

Also Richarlison playing central. If the rumours about Rafael wanting a number 10? If he’s still here to sign that player, Richarlison will play wide. Unless he’s sold

Why does it make sense when we don’t really need him right now. And we will still be paying a fee and wages. Even if it’s only 3/4mil. It’s 3/4mil that could loan a midfielder or even go down as a payment on a player out of contract or a youngster who may cost 10/15mil

So basically people are making stuff up on the internet and then people pick and choose what to believe based on their own agenda. Then present it as fact.
Belief ?

Apart from the Bramley Moore New Stadium can you tell us anything else the club is doing right atm ?

There's a miriad of reasons why many people are choosing to believe/ or not believe that comes out.

Um, sorry to spoil the fume. Kia Joorabchian is Sports Invest UK and Anwar el Ghazi is not their client.

El Ghazi registers Gestifute as his representatives - Jorge Mendes - is the main man there.

Hopefully this helps stops this nonsense about Moshiri wanting him, Benitez stopping it three times and murky agents whispering in owner's ears.

It's nonsense, we have plenty of valid things to fume over, kicking the tyres on a potential loan deal is not one of them.

Final point, while I am ranting, Villa are far more likely to be looking to drive a market for a player they want rid of, right now, we're the easy connection to make because of the Digne deal happening at the same time.

Coutinho is Joorabchian though…

Loaning a player the manager doesn't want is so bloody weird if that's what we're actually doing

Just Josh King all over again. Foisting a player on a manager who has no interest in playing him, thus taking up space on the wage bill that could be used elsewhere

Moshiri seems to be backing Benitez, so why give him a player he doesn't want?

This club is an absolute ship show

….if it’s accurate it really blows the Rafatonians ‘total control’ belief out the water.

I didn’t want us to sign Walcott or tosun but this season feels very different to that one and relegation seems a much more real threat to me. If el ghazi does ok I worry there’s a clamour to sign him and the manager or club thinks better the devil you know we’ll buy him lumbering us with more dross I also don’t think richarlison can play up top alone in this system with the ball just being punted to him so if Calvert Lewin is out long term I would much rather we sign a striker than another winger especially another right footed one and finally I’m not sure he’s much better than iwobi - different yes but better overall I don’t know.

Tis why I don't buy that it's "Moshiri player"
