El Ghazi has been pushing for move for ages, he wanted to leave in the summer no takers, in the winter no takers.

I recall reading he felt himself most comfortable in a number 10/central. That's where he come through the academy. [Edit. Found it]

A lot have been wanting Everton to go to a 3 man midfield when we've never really had 3 decent centre midfielders fit. There was some opinion that Gordon could go in the middle, if we did we need a winger to replace him out wide.

So perhaps if we can't afford/our preferred centre midfielder isn't available, then El Ghazi wide and Gordon in the middle could be one option.

Correct me if I’m wrong but he was talking about himself when he was 11-years old there.

gray always had talent, this lad has never been good, hes championship level and hit a few penalties in the PL

Gray clearly solved a problem which needed solving, pace and directness. He is obviously a player who had talent and the fact we followed him from when he was 17 proves that. Regardless of what Leicester fans thought we all knew he would tick the boxes we needed, for a price we couldn't argue with.

El Ghazi, ticks not one box we need from transfers. With wiggle room tight, we shouldn't be filling the squad with players who actually don't help what we need.

It's a terrible move.

Makes sense we after a winger but not this standard. Richarlison and Townsend are injured and Iwobi is away. Gray and Gordon are the only two fully fit and can’t play every game.

To be fair it was less of a gamble because if Gray did turn out to be crap then we would have easily got that £1.7m back and probably more, if we are buying El Ghazi for the quoted £15m and he was crap would we get that £15m back?

The club can’t be this stupid surely? With the current unrest, paying actual money for him would only worsen that unrest. Especially when there are other areas of the field in desperate need of additions. Loan at the very very most.

Agree but still stands to me, its a waste of us paying wages for a player which solves no problem for us.

i could be wrong but from the glimpses i saw of him against us he seems to be a pretty good crosser of the ball and he likes to take his man on and shoot, similar to gray

townsend isnt that injured if he played at the weekend, richarlison will be back soon too (iwobi too unfortunately).

we also need to be giving dobbin minutes in the hope he signs his contract.

I don't know what's going on anymore and have lost the will to live when it comes down to anything to do with Everton mate, we are a complete shambles from top to bottom. Gash team, gash owner and gash manager.
