It's unacceptable behaviour In any form & any situation.

Someone putting his arm round her and saying sommat like that could well be that grain of truth which was spun so disgustingly on Saturday.

Said previously, I think something happened. Maybe it’s been exaggerated, maybe not . I don’t believe they are that deluded in leaving themselves so open to such a degree of lying if they want to remain on the board.

It must be said that the timing of it coming out is questionable and strategic . Clearly designed to character assassinate Evertonians on the day of a protest. Instead of coming out proving why they should remain as custodians of the club, they choose these tactics, which shows things need to change and they are not the right people for Everton.

The club just looks preposterous either which way. If it did happen, why the hell didn't we inform the police and press charges against the moron who did it.

And if it didn't happen, which appears far more likely in my eyes, then there really aren't the words to describe the contempt our directors should be held in.

Maybe both the fans and DBB should be upset at this info being leaked when it did as it both parties are being abused for it. And one of those parties is abusing the other.

There’s a potential female victim of assault in this. It’s not hard to just hold off on that and condemn the timing and possible intention of the leak without smearing the alleged female victim, in my book anyway.

If this woman was assaulted then it is a matter for the police. I find it difficult to believe that such a thing could happen and there be no witnesses. Let the police do their job and prosecute any crime committed. I would also like to see the analysis of the “creditable threat “ against the Board members, again this is a police matter and again it should be pursued through the appropriate channels. If either or both these things happened then, I for one, hope those responsible suffer the full rigours of the law. However if what happened is something less than criminal then the Board have very serious issues to address, or that should be more serious issues to address. The fact that people are prepared to question the board‘s integrity in these matters show the degree of mistrust that now exists,I can’t see a way back from here for this board.

The fact of the matter is that it is now 48 hours later and nobody has come out refuting the "headlock" incident. By not doing so they are tacitly saying "yep, thats what happened". Even if she says so today, it's not like she didn't know this was going on the last 2 days ffs.

If she has been assaulted, she can put out that information when she likes as far as I'm concerned.

And I am normally uncritically accepting of such allegations. But in this instance, I am unconvinced. It's a very specific and serious accusation, one which Merseyside police are unaware of, that needs to be substantiated.

It is also worth noting, that a similar alleged incident happened around Everton Free School. Where a member of (what was) my union (NUT) was accused of abusing DBB and her secretary. It was later found by CCTV and witness evidence this did not happen, and the club apologised to the individual.

The chairman has lied a lot, so I cant take his word it I'm afraid. The club need to make a clear statement, either providing the evidence for a serious accusation, and assuring us all the person in question has been banned, or clear the record on what has happened.

However this Kafkaesque approach, whereby the fanbase is on trial for an as yet unsubstantiated offence, where 0 evidence has been provided is wholly out of line.

Oh dear, that could be considered having 'form' for this sort of thing then.
