Fair play and I apologise for personal comments comparing a poster to a clown but I thought his argument was hilariously hypocritical to blame me for a lack of evidence when he has the same.

Yes on Usmanov and his dodgy cash but those sort of financial smokescreens are so adept and high level it almost always came with the territory when Bill sold to the guy's accountant!

I'm not defending the board but I just can't believe they'd make the whole thing up. It would be beyond bad and so unprofessional I just can't see it being a viable PR angle. Sorry but in recent games I've seen the nasty side of our fans first hand and it's really got to me. We now seem an open vent for a whole host of grievances and I feel we're truly in a death spiral.

But the difference is, I didnt make an assertion that something had to have happened.

You did, and I just asked you to clarify, which sent you on some inane journey of name calling and nonsense.

I cant provide evidence for something I am unsure of. It was a perfect reasonable request after you declared something had definitely happened, to ask what evidence you had for that conclusion.

It may have happened, but there is clearly some doubt about that, and I have no idea why you were abusive to someone who also held some confusion about the alleged incident.

But you do you. If you ever feel ready, I woul still be happy to see the evidence of this incident that definitely happened.

When talking about Kenwright and a person very high up at EFC and close to Kenwright.
Wright says in a WhatsApp message "the correspondence between them and then to me" made him angry.
It sounds like Wright saw the WhatsApp conversation (or was even in a group with) between Kenwright and this other person.
That WhatsApp thread is the smoking gun.
One ex-player to another. Hmmm ?

Did he say high up at efc? I though he just said someone high up.

I reckon there source was that woman from Radio 5 live, who knew nothing

As I`ve mentioned before, one of my immediate neighbours is a respected sports journo, for a broadsheet, who`s main employ is to cover Everton and the RS.

I spoke with him this morning.

In his own words, the press office from Everton phoned the Echo sports desk, prior to the match, on Saturday morning, leaking the story of the alleged headlock.

The phone call was taken by an inexperienced, young journo, who made no attempt to do any kind of investigation into the validity of the claims.

A simple phone call or email, to the Police Match Commander at Goodison, would`ve sufficed. Which would`ve shown, that there was no police record of an incident, as alleged by the club. At that point alarm bells should`ve started going off.

Instead, he then started contacting all manner of sports journos, on behalf of the Echo ( including my neighbour ) and gave them the story.

One of them was O`Keefe, ex Echo and now of the Athletic.

Despite his vast reporting experience, O`Keefe did nothing to check the validity of the claims and ran with the story immediately, where as my neighbour and many other journos hung back, whilst they checked the story out and as a result of finding no provenance to the story, decided to hang back from reporting on it.

Again in his own words, the whole thing can only have been initiated by someone on board, as there is no way, a " rogue " member of the press office would ever leak something so specific and so detailed, without it being signed off by someone upstairs.

I think it was Joe Thomas who broke it for the Echo, which I was really disappointed about as he had actually tried to do a good piece previously where it was on the front page and actually looked like he was saying enough was enough and doing the job of a journalist

It doesn`t sound like it was him, who was the initial contact point for the Echo, as my neighbour described him as being " inexperienced ", which Thomas isn`t.

Why would an Echo journalist give the story to other journalists?

Not doubting this account btw, just curious about their motivation.

Misinformation.

Other than that, I`ve no idea about journalistic procedure mate ?

I can only think that the Echo got the initial " scoop " and got it onto their socials first and then that afternoons Echo ?

The board have clearly taken a leaf out of Putin's war book with this 'false flag' statement and allegations.

Slava Ukraine. Slava Evertonians.
He's going to start shelling Gladys Street because historically his great uncle Bert sat there 90 years ago?

Then he cuts off the ale supply.

I hate you Kenwrutin!

It's essentially the same as speaking to your mates. Whoever had the story at the ECHO will have said to someone else 'are you hearing this? I've been told XYZ' and then they'll have checked it themselves.

Given where its likely come from, anyone who asks the club is going to get fed the same line, therefore it gives credence to the initial rumblings and makes the circle whole.

I may not be the first to say this but @tommye with this thread may just have brought down this despicable house of cards for the future good of the club and, if so, he should have a statue in his name outside BMD.

Although, I suspect, it may be posthumous as he probably now has a price on his head ?
Hows that trigger finger @tommye ?
