Are Leicester now a bigger club than us??

I say this because today while shopping in the metro centre Newcastle I counted 6 kids in Leicester tops and no Everton tops in sight.

Now, before everyone gets angry and start giving me a history lesson I know in my life time I've seen Everton win more trophies than Leicester. But, if you look from the start of the Premiership we have won the FA cup while they have won the league and two league cups.

So they win the recent history and are now in the Champions league, something we haven't achieved in our history.

Turnover wise no doubt with winning the league and being in the Champions league next season they will surpass us in the financial stakes as well.

Fanwise is going to be a tough one but according to my older brother who lives in the far east he has commented on how big Leicester promote themselves ( club shop in Bangkok airport etc ) with them winning the league, they will have a new generation of supporters.

So, are they?

Ive clocked abar 2 Leicester on my day to day. Either ex-City or Chelsea fans or they've not really supported their side until this season.

How many league titles have you seen us win? Two but I was a youngster in the 80's.

It's great, but its history. I don't celebrate the Empire's wars on the seas when I travel abroad.
I was born when we last won one.

But even by your standards we have twice as many in your life time making us twice better lol

But they so are and we have to admit it if we truly want to get better.

What constitutes a bigger club? They won the Premier League in the most amazing story ever. Fair enough.

But their history consists of being a yo-yo club having won sod all before this season. Plus I doubt they have more supporters than us, that is if you don't include the millions of Thai plastics that have now probably professed their love for them.

So let's get this right, you want to claim we are a bigger club yet without being around to celebrate it when we won it.

While the Leicester fans celebrate. Seems small time of us if I'm being honest.

They are bigger and show us just how much we deserve administration and liquidation.

lol

The only types of fans who measure how big a club is in their own life times are glory hunters.

Our past history makes us a huge club but personally it's a bit kopite to use that as a demand for future success though.

But they have a Premier League trophy and people know who they are mate.

We don't have a Premier League trophy and no one knows who Everton are.

It truly pains me to say that but right now in the 21st century Leicester City >>>><>>Everton mate.

Not just about Premier League trophies mate. Ask the rs, who as much as I hate to say it, are the 3rd or 4th biggest club in the land even though they haven't won a Premier League trophy in eons as well.

In terms of Leicester, I reckon they have about as good a chance to go down next season as to come anywhere near repeating what they did this one.

You calling the fans Kopites mate?

WOW
Anyone who thinks we should be a title contender based on previous wins 3 decades ago is no different to a Liverpool fan.

Don't think I have ever come across an Everton fan with that train of thought mind you

Fair enough mate and I respect your view but what I find with foreign people is that the biggest clubs are:
  1. Liverpool
  2. Man Utd
  3. Chelsea
  4. Arsenal
  5. Man City
  6. Spurs
  7. Leicester
  8. Newcastle
  9. West Ham
  10. Aston Villa
  11. Everton
And then the rest. Most foreign people just ask "who are Everton and where are they from?"

Foreign people get dead excited over Leicester The Foxes now.

Hurts deep but we know where we stand like.
