Dyche mentioned in his presser that Tarkowski had been training this week, so all things being well I'd like to see him & O'Brien being paired today. Good opportunity to considering that Villa away is next up after the break..Haha I reckon Keane is gonna start again so I am ready for maximum fume
The other thing he enables is the ability to to try and shift DCL in January, if we can get anything for him and he leaves - we still have three forwards.
Could work for us this financially.
As you said earlier: I'd have been fuming last night if Ipswich had secured him.
There's a lot of untapped value in this lad. Get him fit and keep him fit and let's see what he can do.
He's aggressive, strong and can shift with the ball at his feet. You dont want to defend against that.
I watched him on video scoring in the box with the outside of the boot.He can create something out of nothing as well and he can do it on the counter - cant remember the last player we had who could do that.
Brings legs, ability to carry the ball and directness to an area of the pitch where we have had 0.
Hopefully makes an appearance following the second international break in mid October. When is he due back? Or is that a rhetorical question?

A player who can do that has a lot of composure.
I think keeping him away from them niggly injuries is key...your also looking for him to bag early. As you said earlier: I'd have been fuming last night if Ipswich had secured him.

Think a massive part of it collapsing is that he didn’t really want to play for Ipswich.Trying to understand that, Ipswich deal collapsed due to them not wanting Chelsea to pay his wages until he’s fit? Or because he’s injured?
Someone said earlier (may have been you) that he's deceptively quick. I agree.Like i say he reminds me of Arnautovic he has very good technical ability, very happy with ball at feet and an ability to carry and beat a man and create an angle to get a shot off - like Arnautovic - if you look at his play he comes in off the right a lot like him as well.
It’s a weird one, the timing and the way we went about it screams panic, but at the same time this is a lad we’ve been targeting (rightly or wrongly) for years now, heavily linked every window and apparently top of the striker list (again, rightly or wrongly). So it’s not some rando we’ve picked up in desperation, he was our top target all along.Hmmmmm reeks of a panic buy. Injured, gets injured a fair bit and the last time he done anything of any use was about 2-3 years ago for Southampton.
When he played at Goodison last season, Branthwaite bullied his very soul out of him and he didn't fancy it at all.
