He looks knackered and needs a rest.
I doubt he'll be benched, but he'd probably be more effective coming on for 30 minutes at the end of a match than he is when starting.

Whilst he was awful today and he really was, it's not entirely his fault. He isn't a winger and he's being shoehorned into the team on that left side because the manager is too stubborn to drop him. He was constantly wondering into he centre of the park leaving Baines exposed against two Spurs players and when Baines did get forward looking to attack he had no assistance because Kone has gone walkabouts.
That left side has been our best weapon the last 5 years but Baines threat is wasted now because Kone is not good enough or smart enough to link up with him. We either play him as a striker or not at all.

He would be more effective either getting played as an out and out striker or not at all. He's a waste of space on the left,right,
behind or whatever. We've got natural width players just gathering splinters but for whatever reason our El berto knows bests with his bellwhiffery when it comes to selections
