Why does his injury get used as an excuse, he was worse before it than he was after. Remember the sitter v Stevenage and the open goal miss against hull!?

I agree on this, I reckon Lukaku isn't %100 not even close, but its hardly mentioned but injuries are used as an excuse for other players.

It's not his fault. That terrible injury and age have done for him. On face value he was a solid signing for the money, given we got the same for anichebe who had a far worse scoring record (and has arguably done less for West Bromwich Albion than Kone has for Everton).

Victor 26 in 168, a goal every 6.46 games
Kone 7 in 50, a goal every 7.14 games

So no mate.

soz abar facts

Apart from the fact he was crap before the injury, was relatively old when we signed him and had already had a major knee injury previously in his career.

So no it wasn't really a decent signing for the money and the wages

But he gave Roberto such good head. He'd scored goals post the previous injury. For six million, what do you get striker-wise? Kone, Vic, or if really lucky an unknown. Maybe semi-decent coming up to contract end with a club cutting losses.

You don't need six million.

It's £14m total with zero return at the end. Deals aren't just one dimensional, especially when you bring in a player who is at best going to sit on the bench.

Yes he's scored goals post the previous injury which is exactly the point, he was jarg before his injury at Everton and was a little better but still poor after his injury. It isn't his injury that scuppered his Everton career it's the fact he's crap.
