So, a Cup winner who has fought back from a career threatening injury, and contributed to Lukakus scoring success, is popular in the team, has never complained about his 'lot', and has an excellent reputation amongst other professionals, and has contributed some goals including a hat trick to an Everton team which was by consensus playing badly is a 'pure scumbag'

That description my friend, is more suited to someone else. No names of course, but have a little think.
Taking 40k a week knowing he'll never play, when he has offers to go elsewhere and pick up the same wage and actually earn it. Appalling attitude.

Not actually his fault if the manager doesn't pick him is it? Also might not be him who pulled the plug on the deal.

Hardly makes him a "scumbag" lad.........how old are you? 15? I'm sensing a lot of pent up anger.

Palace I reckon just messed us about, hope they go down. As for Kone really don't see the point in him ever being in the squad again, rather give Valencia a chance

Not ITK but my take on what happened is Palace weren't prepared to pay Kone what he currently earns, he wasn't prepared to take a cut in wages, and we weren't prepared to subside his wages. May be completely off the mark but that appears the most obvious scenario to me.

It seems unlikely that we'd refuse to chip in to his wages. Wasting £10,000 a week is better than wasting £40,000 a week, surely?
