Using his sixth - sense, he knew the keeper was on the other side of the goal... Then he scuffed a beautiful strike adding a bit of curl to take it away from the reach of the keeper, nestling into the bottom corner.

It was a thing of beauty, just like our Kone. You can't get much more instictive than this.

This is spot on. He is basically very good at the things Lukaku is not very good at/doesn't like doing. He links play up, brings others into the game and shows for the ball very well. Also his presence means defenders have a second problem to think about and can't divert all attention to Lukaku.

Centre forward pairings are about partnerships. The two of them seem to have great chemistry. The goal against West Brom showed that and it was a fantastic goal for a strike force to score. Neither of them seem to hesitate at any point knowing what they have to do, they do it on auto-pilot. I don't think Lukaku looks when he plays the ball he just knows if he puts it into that area that's where Kone will be. Likewise Kone makes the run and knows where Lukaku will put it.

Yorke and Cole used to play like that, just an intuitive knowledge of each others game.

i wouldn't mind him as long as we bought a better backup striker. move him down to 3rd choice. unless leandro is the real deal. sadly we need a new keeper and a playmaker for our starting XI.
 
Sorry to be all 'FM16' but it's likely that the clause is for appearances in the last year of contract, say 15 league appearances. Due to his age it was probably stipulated because you'd have hoped he would have been first choice starter in 2013 before dwindling to mediocrity. Unfortunately we got it the other way around.
