Sorry, but how can improving our performances and results over half a season ever be lucky?

The Gosling goal in the replay, the Neville tackle on Ronaldo, the moment of brilliance of a unknown to anyone sub named Seamus Coleman against Spurs...

These are all things that kick off our season in the second half.
It's not exactly happening all the time now though, is it? We at least gave teams a fair game during that time.

Switching the defense today was a mistake. I thought in the second half they had settled into the game, and maybe switching on Distin disrupted that a bit. I thought we gave away a bit less in the second half as well, but it's still something we really need to work on.

The one thing I continue to wonder though, is how Tiny Tim gets in the team right now. He is on a very poor run of form, and for the most part he was pretty ineffectual aside from winning a few balls for us in midfield. I love Tiny Tim and he's one of my favorite players, but I don't think he should be starting every week right now. Despite recent showings, I would still rather see Apostolos up there instead.

Speaking of Apostolos though, I think since his first league start he has lost a lot of credit in Moyes eyes. McAleny is a very promising player, but I wouldn't have thought he would be coming on instead of Vellios. With that being said, I thought McAleny did pretty well for his debut. Hopefully he gets more of a look in as the season progresses.

there r a hell of a lot on here who like r manager have not got a clue about football, not 1 shot on target in the last 2 games . this is the worst football ever played by the club .my only saving grace is i never went down there today.

Nope.

Worse under Smith.

Steve Watson up front anyone?

His crosses were terrible. His offside/s were a joke. He wasn't even up against proper fullbacks. And provided no pressing on Walcott to help Baines out.
Fellaini was average, kept having the ball pinched from him.

If I was Moyes I would outlaw the 5 yard pass in the ten yard square central just outside the opposition box, it slows us down and gets us nowhere.
Just because there usuall fullbacks weren't playing doesn't mean anything to me really, Bily was playing well enough, as nobody else in the team can cross a ball anyway.

Fellaini didn't play great, but maybe that's because Moyes chose to put Neville right beside him..
