Anyone reckoning Howard is a decent keeper exists in some parallel universe.

at the end of the day we need have needed a commanding keeper someone who the defence trust

This.

After a shaky start we had started to get on top and then out of absolutely nothing they are gifted a goal.

How often is this happening these days?

As someone else said, we could live with them having to work to create the kind of gpals they beat United with but it is just depressing when we gift wrap them a goal.

The amount of times we dominate a game only for the other team to break and score with their first chance is ridiculous. I'm not saying that was the case today, but it happens far too much.

We could of quite easily got an equaliser if the players had took the game more seriously,.

What are you talking about? Scoring an equaliser at the Emirates against an in form arsenal side can never be described as easy.

I don't know what has happened to us since the West Brom game we've been terrible.

We've played Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal since WBA. It's disappointing not to have picked up a few more points but we're not going into any of those games as favourites. Let's have a bit if perspective.

We were definitely considered favourites against Liverpool and an awful lot of people (myself included) thought of us as favourites against Manure

Just a shame we played like underdogs in both cases

United haven't looked like world beaters, but they've out spent us tenfold and are sitting comfortably alongside arsenal and Man City at the top or the league. Granted, Liverpool were struggling in the dying days of the Rodgers era but the Derby is never about form, it's a different game.

My point is, a Derby followed by games against two sides who will probably end the season in the top three... not a nice run, and not one we should be judging the team too harshly on.

Just another pathetic performance, we could of quite easily left North London with a point tonight if our players actually made an effort. John Stones aside they were awful, it was like we were trying to lose. At least under Moyes we made some effort, our players particularly Tim Howard should hang their heads in shame. As usual we take a top support away from home who are left disappointed by a pathetic Everton. Just go back to America Tim Howard you useless idiot you cost us at least 15 points a season.

I agree with you re Howard but to say that the players didn't make an effort and they did under Moyes is wrong.

We didn't win a single game against any top 4 team away from home under Moyes and only came close to winning at the Emirates once. Today we came closer to getting a point than Bayern Munich did in midweek.

Was it our best performance? No. Is it the end of the world? No.

Before the game the general consensus was we would get nothing today, that a draw would be a great result against the side that just beat Bayern Munich. We then lost the game as predicted and the reaction has been like we lost to Aston Villa.

It is not the dropping of the points but the manner in which they are being handed to our opponents which is so darned galling.

We should have battered the RS but gifted Ings a goal.

All three goals against Manchester United were easily avoidable......and today the first goal in particular was a farce.

Keystone Cops defending has been evident in the last three games.....in fact, it was evident against Baggies as well and I am afraid we need to be judging our defensive lapses very harshly.

They are killing us and preventing any momentum building.
