It shouldn't be seen as an impossible ask to get that total. RM managed it. It's a target that needs to be in place, otherwise why have him here on a massive wedge?

I was thinking more realistically of the following two seasons (if he breaks the habit of a lifetime and stays at one club more than two seasons that is!).

Martinez wasnt sacked for not getting 72 points, he was sacked for 24months of abject failure.

I personally dont set managers targets David, as I said prior to the season starting, I just want us to compete in every game we play, not roll over meekly and allow teams to tickle our balls. Ronny will achieve that, the rest is down to luck, referee mistakes and how quickly global warming kicks in for real.

Ive pencilled in European football in his first season, whether thats league placing or winning a trophy, but I wont be screaming for his head unless we find ourselves in the lower half of the table again.
