What impresses me about the lad is how quickly he has settled into the club. I had no doubt of his abilities as a player, but when you consider is captain of the Welsh team who'd just got to the semis at the euros, but what's also impressed me, he is a defender of some standing in the game, leading his country to the semis at the euros and has settled so seemlessly into the team. He isn't disappointed to have lost his reputation as his clubs best player (Swansea) instead he has focuses on what he can do well, organising our defence to make them a much more compact and focused unit.

Totally agree,he is a class, no nonsense pro and doesn't care about the glamour side quietly just goes about the job in hand and let's others soak up the adulation,I'm sure like Gareth Barry he will be looked upon as a pro's favourite.

Thought he was rubbish today. Got bullied by that no mark King
He didn't get bullied.
He was up against a striker with some decent pace.
We all knew, or at least should know.. That this will happen every so often with Williams.
He Deffo wasn't 'rubbish' though.

Stek alone stopped it being at least four for City. Stek and Williams combined stopped it from being at least seven.

It was in many ways a two man team today.

Like having another captain on the pitch.

Fantastic today.

Soz Funes, you ain't getting back in bro.

Give him the armband, Jagielka does absolutely nothing as a leader on the pitch. Never speaks to refs, never defends one of our boys during a push and shove and never shouts at anyone for a mistake. Williams is great at all of this.
