One thing people are forgetting is the benefit of signing someone with premier league experience. He'll adapt seamlessly, one would expect, which given our defensive troubles would be invaluable and a clear priority for Koeman's initial tenure.

He's the captain of his club and country and has always impressed me when he's played against us. Really hope this comes off.

My only concern is I've seen him sprawling about on the floor a few times where he's tried to make an interception at the last second and completely missed the ball. He always looks really upset when he's playing as well.
