Your assumptions are horribly wrong.

Eh, believe what you will. Even @The Esk says that a Koulibaly move is the least likely to be successful of the 7 potential transfers mentioned. Considering how positive he usually is, I think that's somewhat significant. If Koulibaly does come, I'll be thrilled but I still think it's a longshot.

I wouldn't offer Swansea a penny more than our current offer. Clowns.

I'd make it clear to Williams that if he wants the move then he needs to hand in a transfer request.

it's not the player that's turning it down though. it's his club.

and yes maybe, but it's all relative. the only way to be a success in the market now is to be slightly less mad than everybody else.

I'm sure you are old enough to remember other clubs that nearly went bust by making insane deals like this! Like I said it is bonkers in my opinion. If we up this bid then every other club in the world we try and deal with are going to rip us off.
We have a very good team and now we also have a decent manager, we don't want to be mugged off like this and our priority should be finding a world class goalkeeper who will give our back 4 the confidence that they lacked last season.

Think people forget that we were hotly tipped to push for CL football last year!

Well I'd imagine they might be looking for £12-13mil. I'd say, if Koeman really wants him, we may go to that or a but higher (at a push £15m).

But that's just pure conjecture, I suppose it depends what reports are right re. the deal we had agreed on in principle. Some say £8m, others say £10m.

Probably will be a press release from Swansea tomorrow mate, saying Williams has signed a new £100k a week 4 year contract.

I remember Leeds, yes. Portsmouth yes. But in a completely different era mate and while it may be bonkers, a deal like this wouldn't effect us.

Every club in the world currently rips Premier League clubs off, including other Premier League clubs. it's how it is.

that doesn't mean we should stop being smart, but there's no stupidity in this deal either. If RK wants him we'll improve our offer. If they turn that down I'd imagine we'd look elsewhere.

There's a major difference with leeds, Rosedale business model was aimed totally based at revenue from CL, when they missed out they imploded. The money in the PL now is ludicrous and I'm sure an astute businessman, and accountant, in moshiri is not going to risk £85m (possibly more) with out having a clear plan and ensuring it's covered.
