I don't get is if Williams has travelled for a medical/ agree personal terms Swansea would of been aware and yet they've rejected our offer. Ridiculous tbh
Everton has probs offered something around 8-9m...I would guess..far off?Key phrase in Swansea statement is 'currently on the table'.
ie: A little more cash will see it right.
Giving permission to talk is not the same thing as agreeing a fee.
I suspect that there was broad agreement between the clubs with the finer details such as a schedule for payments to be ironed out and the player was allowed to talk to us.
Swansea then thought they could screw a couple of extra million out of us and said no deal.
I stress I am not ITK but suspect that there is an element of Swansea not wanting to be seen as rolling over too easily and that this will go through if we offer a little more and /or the player hands in a transfer request.

Losing a yard by the day.32 this month. Happy birthdag
Typical Everton....
News: Everton agree terms for X Player
News: Deal falls through/another club going to steal
News: Everton Sign player.
We never just go from interested to signed, even yesterday the amount of heads falling off because of an article saying West Ham was interested in getting Geuye even when everyone was saying he was at finch farm.
Its never straight forward, its like a Kenwright production, build it up then mess everyones head up, then a happy ending.
Text book.

It'll happen, if not then Swansea will have a very disgruntled captain. One thing for clubs to negotiate a fee, another thing entirely for Swansea to allow him to agree his own terms, verbally consent to him leaving then pull the plug for more cash. To me, £2m more and a subsequent PR victory for Swansea re 'doing all they could' will get it over the line.
Yep, we're not asking for 100 million because we need to ask for 100 million...and it doesn't mean we're going to share it with the likes of Swansea! 10 million is our offer and if not accepted, so be it. Look elsewhere.
this is my opinion tbh. up to us how much we want him
