What I don't understand in all of this is why Swansea are prepared to sell their leader and captain for such a small amount of money.
Williams has three more seasons in him at his very best..at least. He is the leader in their team and a very good defender.
Unless they have some serious talent in the reserves I don't see how they will replace a player of that stature with 10m.

I hope we won't mate. I am only telling what Swansea may think about it. What every club who don't need or don't want to sell their best players may think.

Oh I know mate I mean we are trying to milk city and why not! Buy they have ridiculous amounts compared to us there's probably a limit koeman will pay for certain players maybe who knows! But it's good we can actually throw some money about for once

Well they aren't if they've rejected whatever we've bid. So they want more money or the player to stay.

As long as they aren't being cheeky and have raised the price to £15m/£20m then we will get him. How many times is a first bid rejected and the bidding club and selling compromise over the fee in the next few days. If we really want this deal then it will get done as money appears not to be a problem now.

To be honest I would have no problem with us paying 15m for him, he's a very good player! I still don't see why Swansea would sell him for that much though, it's like when Arsenal apparently tried to sign Jags on the cheap a couple years back, why would we sell?

I suppose it comes down to if the player himself has said that he wants to come to Everton. Back down to if Swansea are willing to risk keeping hold of a player that doesn't want to be there any more and could become a liability.

We've offered 8m upfront with 2 million in addons. Swansea want 10m up front. That's the only difference. It will be an undisclosed fee when it goes through.

To confirm Williams has agreed fees. If they get the fee agreed today, I would expect him to sign tomorrow

Where have you heard this?

I think all you people saying we should pay £13 or £20 million for him are absolutely crackers.

Honestly some of you have no common sense when it comes to money. o_O
