I think all you people saying we should pay £13 or £20 million for him are absolutely crackers.

Honestly some of you have no common sense when it comes to money. o_O

I know what you mean mate. It's like paying 90p for a pack of jammy dodgers when there used by date is tommorow, but if you look behind them you will find a nice fresh pack that has a week left. I'm sure the lads in Asda like assing around yanno.

What I don't understand in all of this is why Swansea are prepared to sell their leader and captain for such a small amount of money.
Williams has three more seasons in him at his very best..at least. He is the leader in their team and a very good defender.
Unless they have some serious talent in the reserves I don't see how they will replace a player of that stature with 10m.

They don't want to sell but Williams has been interested in a move for a couple of seasons and I think it's reached the stage where they feel a bit obligated after his service. He's a very good premiership defender but the obvious issue is his age, personally I think £9-10m with add-ons related to Europa/CL qualification and cup wins would be a good deal for both sides.

They do it on purpose mate so they can ship the old stock out.

Can't be arsed reading back, but nobody has said this surely?

Nobody said up to £20m because that would be insane.

Personally i'd go absolute maximum £12m, and even then i'm a little uncomfortable with that. But if we really want him then fair enough.

Unless of course they the stats and medical information they have show at 32 he is already in decline. If and a big if he does indeed sign a 3 year deal and the fee is £10 million we know that there is unlikely to be any resale value and on top of that there is little likelihood that he will ge another contract after3 years so on top of his wages he is going to cost around £100k a game.

Hopefully it will be a small increase in the fee or add-on's and the deal will be done soon? We really need to strengthen this position.
